A Day In My Shoes…

What Would You Do If You Could Spend A Day In My Shoes?

Been in magazines been on TV

Only a few people know the truth about me

Had arthritis since the age of two

No one knows what I go through

Like a hurricane it leaves such damage

I don’t know how anybody can manage

Excruciating pain means long-term gain

When you put that in your mind it becomes your domain

I just put the past behind me its not going to find me

Seek me out, I’ll never scream or shout

It’s your turn, to see what you can earn

Now put on some sox and step in my shoes

And finally you’ll hear what I’ve gone through

Going to sleep with pain is accustom to my brain

Without my friends it depends would life be the same

Could never do the same stuff in was like I was on a restrain

So I decided to change my future something I never did doubt

Kristen and Gary they figured it out

Benching 50 lbs 10 miles on a bike or the pulling of my knees

Makes a new life and many victories

Never shed blood nor tears

I’ll be a changed man in just a few years

No amount of motivation or courage a doctor did say

I turned to him and said, “then how the hell did I get here today”

The surgery, which put me in 120-degree cast

Oh but it must have been luck

Then how did I get past?

Don’t have an opponent all I got is me

The apple never falls far from the tree

I’ve been covered by its leaves and helped by its branches

There is one man who helps change my life

I would like to thank Dave Sherman

Thank you!!!
