Best Present I Ever Bought For Myself….

Several years ago, I was diagnosed with a herniated disc in my L4-L5 vertebrae, and Sciatica.  I had never experienced that level of pain before.  After 2 months of therapy and rehab prescribed by my orthopedic doctor, I was dismissed from his therapy program.  He suggested I continue strength training through my own workout program, with the goal of preventing further back injuries.

Since I didn’t really have any kind of work-out program, I sought help from a personal trainer (something I had never done before).  I was skeptical and concerned about the investment I would be making (time and money).

Dave Sherman was recommended to me and he has been my personal trainer for the last 12 years.  Dave has helped me strengthen my core muscles, as well as guide me through total body strength training to help me prevent further injuries.  He also provided weight loss coaching and instruction on how to fit physical activity into my schedule, resulting in a needed weight loss for me.

As I make my way through the aging process, I have noticed other benefits to Dave’s strength training.  I seem to have more energy than many people my age and an injury, such as the fall I took in the shower last April, caused no more damage than a little pain and a bruise.  I believe the muscle strength in my leg and hip area prevented a broken bone.
