Katy has been in the fitness industry for over 20 years. She obtained a BS in Exercise Science in 1999 from FAU. She is certified in Pilates and is an ACE certified personal trainer.
Katy has experience working in corporate wellness with Motorola and the Broward Hospital District. During this time she assisted employees to reduce their stress and incorporate a healthier lifestyle and mindset.
Katy has a love and passion to help women and men meet their health and wellness goals. These days our lives are busy with family, career, friends etc.. We tend to put ourselves, our bodies and most importantly our minds last. Her mission is to get clients to make lifestyle changes to improve their health and to change their mindset to an empowered one. This will lead them to be able to finally achieve their goals for life!
Currently she incorporates Pilates and weight training together to train clients in a circuit manner. Clients achieve a full body workout, including core based exercises. These core based exercises on the reformer are an important component to keep the body’s foundation strong. Through a strong foundation we achieve proper alignment, back health and are less prone to injury.
In addition to helping her clients physically she incorporates cognitive behavior changes allowing clients to become aware of self destructive thought patterns and learn how to replace these patterns for a healthier, positive mindset.
